Launching Connection Culture Part 1: New Year; New Content – Luke Clayton with Bo Snyder

For a few years now, Must Increase has been explicitly focused on working with churches and other faith-based organizations, helping them to build up their media presence through better websites, graphic design, and other media. A few years ago, we launched ChurchMediaHQ as an umbrella program for housing all of the media services a church may need.

Although Must Increase will never shy away from its faith-based roots nor our work with churches, this year we have decided to expand our outreach into new areas. A couple years ago, we considered this launch, but we have saved it until now, prioritizing churches with the launch of ChurchMediaHQ instead.

This new content will not be explicitly faith-based, nor will it be geared towards Christians specifically. Instead, we would like to open up dialogues and conversations with a new podcast and connected blog for families that will hopefully bring about an increased understanding of truth or allow families to discuss the kinds of topics that often seem to find themselves buried due to their complexity or touchy nature. We want this content to be educational and uplifting; not dastardly or inappropriate.

Of course, this new content will also be geared towards media matters too. We want to discuss the pros and cons of technological advancement, the things that films and games can teach someone, and even explore some questions beyond the media realm that can impact families. Remember, “media” is simply the plural of “medium”; anything from social media to billboards to board games falls into that category. Even the written word or someone’s conversation could be considered a medium.

In this podcast and blog combo, we are going to give you a preview of what is to come with this new content. In this series, we are going to discuss two things: the power of modern media and its role in the life of young people. Through this discussion, we hope to give you some practical ways in which you can help limit your own negative media consumption while also respecting what has become the world for many young people.

In the next part, we will discuss some of the other content that we are going to produce with this new off-shoot of Must Increase. We hope that you will stick around and dip your toes in the water of this material. Please, leave likes, comments, and suggestions as we continue to develop this new material. The best thing we can do is to answer the questions that you have, instead of us simply picking a topic from week to week with no feedback. We hope you enjoy it!
