Touching Your Community in a “Touchless” Culture (Coaching Series: Part 2)

November 2, 2020

As the world adjusts to the new health codes and restrictions due to COVID 19, we are now seeing a new culture emerge centered around the concept of a “touchless” experience. In order to maintain safety standards, businesses and communities have found creative ways to continue to provide products and services without requiring the customer or patron to touch anything, from a door-handle to the register. Many have converted to an online only experience just to be safe. What does this mean for the church and the many ways we minister to our communities? How does this affect how we serve and evangelize the lost? If we cannot extend a personal invitation to church, how can we reach people?

Many churches have multiple ministries and numerous events as a way to engage and serve the community around them. However, communicating what those ministries are, how to get connected, and what services are available to members, guests, and first-timers can be complicated. What event should you promote and how often? Which ministry should you inform your members about and how?

In this episode, Luke Clayton continues to outline priorities for touching your community in a “touches culture” with a very important message for churches who have numerous ministries that offer varying services and events for their communities: simplify the content of your message.

Continue to tune in over the next few weeks for this series on how to leave a lasting and effective impression on your community during such unprecedented times.
